Gabriel Rios was born and raised in Puerto Rico. Later he went to study in Belgium and stayed. He was a member of the Nothing Bastards, but after a couple of years his roots urged him to start digging in his own past. This led to a quest with the band L. Santo. Alas! Gabi felt that he could only get to the bottom of things on his own. In his search, he ran into one of Belgian s finest producers, Jo Bogaert ('Pump up the Jam', Technotronic). Together they created a universe in which Gabriel could freely confront his ever-creeping demons while treating them with the utmost respect. The result is the album 'Ghostboy' on which Gabriel united his old-skool Caribbean roots with his love for hip hop and melody. The salsa influences are prominent but it has a sound that combines the traditional with the modern. He recently played at the Feria of Ronda as a trio and comes back now with his whole band.
